I know it’s old news but I wanted to share with you this beautiful book about one of my fav photographers Guy Bourdin which I’ve already featured several times in the past whether because he inspired Madonna for her video “Hollywood” or simply because of his sharp aesthetics.
Bourdin went on to become one of the most celebrated fashion photographers mixing extreme glamour with weird scenes which makes his oeuvre fascinating. The book, In Between (Steidl, $58), offers an engaging retrospective of his work. The 272 page tome offers 400 carefully selected photographs that span Bourdin’s oeuvre from 1955 to 1989. The theme of the book is centered on the photographer’s signature achievement – the use of the magazine spread that allowed him to create large, striking images…
I totally recommend it…

| Prada will debut a capsule collection of jewelry in November made of what WWD calls “unconventional mixed” materials, including crocodile, leather, metallic studs, colored gems, and resin roses. Miuccia Prada’s creations for this collection are feminine and quirky, not unlike her ready-to-wear designs. There are necklaces, cuffs, earrings, bracelets and brooches, all of which pack a sparkly punch. Miuccia experimented with materials ranging from patent and resin to leather and crocodile. The way the materials are mixed and matched is unexpected, but it works. They’ll be sold at Prada boutiques worldwide, with prices starting at 350 euros.
