| I’m wishing you an amazing new year full of love and gratitude!

 2011 was a year of adjustment and growth for me. So here are the major thoughts that currently come to mind and what I’ve learned:
-I’ve learned to express gratitude. When you appreciate what you have, what you have appreciates in value. Being grateful for the goodness that is already evident in your life will bring you a deeper sense of happiness. And that’s without having to go out and buy anything. It makes sense. We’re gonna have a hard time ever being happy if we aren’t thankful for what we already have.
- I’ve learned that life can change in an instant and you just have to hold on tight; when it sucks, embrace the good and let yourself grieve through the sad.
 - I’ve learned you need to face adversity head on. It can be unpleasant as hell but in the end you’ll be stronger, smarter and all the better because of it. All the things in life, do happen for a reason.
 - I’ve learned to remain positive, trust me it helps!
-I’ve learned to savor life’s joys. – Deep happiness cannot exist without slowing down to enjoy the joy. It’s easy in a world of wild stimuli and omnipresent movement to forget to embrace life’s enjoyable experiences. When we neglect to appreciate, we rob the moment of its magic. It’s the simple things in life that can be the most rewarding if we remember to fully experience them!
 - I’ve learned change is good! Always take risks even if they scare you to death.
 - I’ve learned to forgive. Harboring feelings of hatred is horrible for your well-being. You see, your mind doesn’t know the difference between past and present emotion. When you “don’t like or hate” someone, and you’re continuously thinking about it, those negative emotions are eating away at your immune system!
 I’ve learned that you truly don’t need much in life to be happy!
I’ve learned to commit to my goals. – Being wholeheartedly dedicated to doing something comes fully-equipped with an ineffable force. Magical things start happening when we commit ourselves to doing whatever it takes to get somewhere. When you’re fully committed to doing something, you have no choice but to do that thing. Counter-intuitively, having no option – where you can’t change your mind – subconsciously makes humans happier because they know part of their purpose!
 -I’ve learned to increase flow experiences. – Flow is a state in which it feels like time stands still. It’s when you’re so focused on what you’re doing that you become one with the task. Action and awareness are merged. You’re not hungry, sleepy, or emotional. You’re just completely engaged in the activity that you’re doing. Nothing is distracting you or competing for your focus!
-I’ve learned that there is always room for improvement and growth on my shelf every moment!
-I’ve learned to live THE NOW!!!

| Showing up on more editorial shoots than i could count, the head-to-toe pajama (yes, i am talking about the white-trimmed, button-down, silk pajama set) was heralded as fashion’s answer to the velour jumpsuit, lately I’ve been thinking of buying some pajamas. They always make a fun gift for the holidays and are perfect for coming down to breakfast on Christmas morning. They also used to be just for the bedroom but many are making their way outside. The only people who used to be able to wear pajamas out of the house were Hugh Hefner and Julian Schnabel but now fashionistas are making them street chic.
The Louis Vuitton pair also have a matching helmet. Just in case you have to make a mad dash in the middle of the night on your Vespa I guess.

In only a few days Christmas will be here!!! I don’t know about you, but this time of year tends to instill a bit of childlike wonder and excitement that I can’t help but exude. So matter how tired or stressed I may be, I can’t help but eagerly awaiting all of the traditional gatherings, events and decor that are waiting to be enjoyed. Whether it be digging in my stocking, baking traditional nostalgic meals and treats, wrapping presents with creative paper and ribbon, or waiting with great anticipation for the reaction of those I love when they open their presents, it all adds up to a very magical time of year. We cannot really believe it, but it looks like Monsieur Louboutin knows how to go low profile too. After studs, metallic leathers, animal furs and the likes, the latest men’s sneaker to release for Spring 2012 is the very simple and premium Christian Louboutin Nono Flat. The mid top sneaker comes in a black jazz calf leather version, sitting on a white outer sole. All in all simple and solid.

Here comes an interesting new pack from New Balance, celebrating the 2012 Chinese Zodiac Year of the Dragon. The sneaker brand teamed up with Whiz from Japan, Invincible from Taiwan, Mita Sneakers from Japan, Limited Edt from Singapore and NPC from China, each creating a special colorway of the 574 running shoe for the Dragon Pack. While 4 colorways of the sneaker will release, these collaborations for now are only for display purposes, which is a real pity, because they are obviously much stronger than the actual release shoes.

The knitwear from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons has been excellent this season and they continue with some more solid pieces. Nike iD goes to the next level on the Air Force 1 and offers the iconic basketball sneaker with new premium options, similar to the recently launched Nike iD Toki. The padding and lining have been removed and the shoe itself has been pared back to reveal a minimalist construction that has more in common with dress shoes than Rucker Park. The laces are hand-rolled and stitched. The leather-wrapped midsole is both lighter and softer than a standard Air Force.

 Christopher Kane’s career has been on steroids these last couple of seasons. The British designer has impressed mostly in the women’s fashion world, but also made a strong push into men’s fashion over the last year. He is still best known for his really bold and unique all over print t-shirts. Many were probably already trying to figure out what he would come up with next. Here is the answer. For Spring 2012 he presents the Mechanics All Over Print T-Shirt Series. Turbines, Turbo Chargers and complicated Sysytems are printed on his tees, which have just arrived early at Browns.

| Let’s visit Coco Chanel’s Paris Flat at 31 Rue Cambon, above the Chanel Boutique. Even though Coco resided at the Ritz in Paris, which was within walking distance, she lived in the heart of Chanel. The Chanel Boutique has four floors – the shop is at the street level, dressing rooms on the second, Coco Mademoiselle’s apartment is on the third, and her personal workshop was on the fourth. The rooftop also offers some of the best Paris views.
